For families wishing to dedicate a day or 1/2 day of their Holy Week to evangelization and service!
We'll be volunteering Holy Saturday at two places in Dallas, doing the following activities:
• A children's Easter Carnival at Blessed Sacrament Parish: 231 North Marsalis Ave. Dallas, TX 75203
• Picnic Lunch at the Catholic Conference Center: 901 South Madison Avenue, Dallas
• Visit the residents at St Josephs, Catholic Nursing Home: 330 West Pembroke Avenue Dallas, TX 75208
Schedule for April 19th Holy Saturday:
8:30 AM- SET UP the Carnival at Blessed Sacrament Parish
9:30 AM- Family Rosary with the children
10:00 AM- Fun and Games begin
12:30 PM- Clean Up
1:00 PM - Family Picnic lunch at the Catholic Conference Center/ Prepare for visit to St Josephs
2:30 PM- Visit St Josephs Residence
5:00 PM- Conclusion
Families are welcome to participate in the full day which includes the Carnival at the parish & the visit to the Nursing Home, with a picnic lunch in between. Or families may come to one or the other; Children's Carnival only Or Nursing Home visit only.
For the Carnival, all need to be at the Blessed Sacrament between 8:30 and 8:45am to set up
For the Visit to St Josephs Residence, all need to be there at 2:30pm
THIS SITE IS FOR REGISTRATION. ALL FEES WILL BE COLLECTED UPON ARRIVAL
Fees are as follows:
Liability $5.00 for each participant ($30.00 maximum per family)
Mission T-shirt $10.00 Adult sizes $5.00 Children's sizes (note: if you have one from last year, you may wear it; it's not necessary to buy a new one)
Mission Cross $1.00
Please pay by cash or check upon arrival (checks made out to Challenge ) Stephane Hagan will be directing logistics and collecting the money on site.
